This estate refuses to release its wine until it has had at least 2-3 years of age, hence the excellent 1992 is just hitting the market. It is a complex, multi-dimensional Minervois. The deep purple color is followed by aromas of smoky, chocolatey, black-raspberry, curranty scents, along with spicy wood. Deep and full-bodied, with excellent concentration, and a layered feel in the mouth, there are no hard edges to this well-endowed, impressively made, gutsy red wine from the Languedoc-Roussillon. Think of it as that region's answer to Chateauneuf du Pape (but Chateauneuf du Pape of this quality does not exist for such a low price). This wine should drink well for 2-3 years.Importer: a Jack Siler Selection, various American importers; tel. (914) 528-7402
