The 2006 Nero d’Avola is awesome. A pretty, layered offering, it shows plenty of dark fruit, licorice and mint with the notes of gaminess that are typical of Nero d’Avola. There is excellent depth and delineation for a wine at this level. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010.
