The 2007 Passomaggio (Nero d’Avola, Merlot) is a wonderful, juicy red bursting with dark fruit, licorice, spices and leather. Perfumed notes typical of Nero d’Avola give the Passomaggio an attractive lift on the finish. This is a terrific effort from Sant’Anastasia. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2013.
