This 2018 Shiraz seems to have evolved beyond its age and is showing porty development and pronounced alcohol. The 2018 vintage was glorious in many parts of South Australia (and, by extension, Australia as well), and so I was expecting far more from this wine. It has notes of poached mulberries, prune, aniseed and dark chocolate. Drink it soon.

An easy-drinking, medium-bodied wine, the 2017 Shiraz features a sprinkling of cracked pepper over cherry-berry fruit. The tannins are supple, with the structure being provided by crisp acids on the tart finish. Drink it young.
