The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is an impressive as well as fairly priced offering for its quality. Its dark plum/ruby hue is accompanied by sweet, dusty, ripe cherry notes intermixed with hints of burning embers, white chocolate, and silky tannins. This dense, medium to full-bodied 2006 is both elegant and substantial. Already delicious, it should continue to drink well for a decade. I have been impressed with Audelssa’s wines since their first vintage debuted less than a decade ago. All the fruit comes primarily from the steep, western slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains, and the winery is equally talented whether it’s turning out Bordeaux varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, or unleashing some complex, delicious Rhone Rangers.Tel.
