Battely’s 2005 Marsanne has an evolved, honey-glazed apricot nose with supporting scents of butterscotch, bacon fat and hay. The palate is just slightly lacking in acidity but there’s a fair bit of complexity with some nice savory flavors coming through. The finish is long with an interesting musky/earthy character.
