The 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon King of the Gypsies (250 cases of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon) was tightly structured and backward when tasted. It reveals good density as well as a classic aromatic profile of licorice, tobacco, and black currants with loamy soil aspects in the background. Additionally, there is abundant tannin in the finish, so patience will be required. While not a big Cabernet, it is elegant as well as noteworthy. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2015.
