A curious Bordeaux/Rhone Ranger blend, the 2004 July 14 Proprietary Red is a sensational combination of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Its dense purple color is followed by explosive aromas of crushed rocks, white flowers, blueberries, blackberries, and toasty oak. In the mouth, it reveals superb fruit and definition, a full-bodied, unctuous texture, and a knock-out finish of more than 40 seconds.
