The 2018 Linen has a typical Sauvignon Blanc nose that is bright, crisp and clean with citrus notes and subtle green spice aromas. Medium-bodied, flavors of grapefruit and citrus blossom are present in the mouth, but the wine seems a touch flat. It has a soft lemonade expression followed by a quick finish. Just under 2,000 cases were made. Drink now and over the next few years.

Perhaps a victim of the challenging vintage, the 2015 Linen opens to a straightforward, red-fruited core of cherry skin and black raspberry. Medium-bodied, the wine is uncomplicated and straightforward on the palate, leading to rising tannins that stand apart from the rest of the expression. If you open this bottle, I recommend having it with food and drinking it over the next couple of years. 1,810 cases produced.

An eclectic blend of 28% Malbec, 22% Petit Verdot, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 8% Syrah and 6% Cabernet Franc, the 2014 Linen is a charming, fruit-forward effort that has plenty of blackberry and spice aromas and flavors. With good freshness and a clean finish, it's a steal at 12 bucks.

The value- priced 2011 Linen is a blend of 57% Merlot and 43% Syrah that spent 16 months in neutral barrels. Medium-bodied, quaffable and delicious, with plenty of berry fruit, spice, underbrush and dam earth, enjoy it over the coming year or two. Tel. (509) 526-4300; www.bergevinlane.com
