The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon “Unforgiven Rustler” spent 24 months in 30% new French and 30% new American oak. It offers an appealing aromatic array of wood-smoke, spice box, pencil lead, black currant, and blackberry. Made in an elegant, racy style, it is velvety textured, intensely flavored, and lengthy. Give it 2-3 years to evolve and drink it through 2020. As the name subtly suggests, Binder-Mitchell is a partnership of two highly talented winemakers, Kevin Mitchell of Kilikanoon and the Clare Valley and Rolf Binder of the Barossa Valley and his own namesake winery.Importer: Michael Opdahl, Joshua Tree Imports, Duarte, CA; tel.
