The 2010 Seleccion Familiar is 100% Albarino made from the free run juice. More aromatic than the regular cuvees, it delivers an alluring perfume of mineral, melon, and citrus. My favorite of these selections is the 2009 Seleccion Familiar Laxas, a 100% Albarino sourced from estate vineyards using only free run juice. Aromatically it displays more earth/mineral notes as well as lemon and grapefruit elements. Ripe, fleshy, and full-flavored (in the style of the terrific 2009 vintage), it can be enjoyed over the next 3-4 years. .
