The 2014 La Buena Vid from La Mancha's Más Que Vinos is a blend of Tempranillo with 20% Graciano from old vines on limestone soils in the zone of Ba?os de Ebro-San Vicente. It fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in second use French barriques for 18 months. This is a serious, elegant and classical Rioja, subtle and balanced, combining power and elegance. The palate is also elegant, with silky tannins and good freshness. This is a very elegant Rioja, very approachable after one year in bottle. It should continue developing nicely. 10,000 bottles were filled in November 2016.
