The 2008 Clos de Andes Reserva is 100% Malbec that was aged for 10 months in French oak. Purple in color, it offers up an alluring nose of cedar, mineral, cinnamon, clove, boysenberry, and black raspberry. On the palate it is smooth textured with an easygoing personality along with plenty of savory, ripe fruit, good depth, and a fruit-filled finish. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 6-8 years. Bodegas Poesia is owned by Helene Garcin and her viticulturalist husband, Patrice Leveque who also have significant holdings in Bordeaux including Clos L-Eglise. The Clos des Andes estate is planted to Malbec vines with an average age of 80 years and is organically farmed.Importer: Bob Bofman Selections; Glenview, IL; tel. (512) 919-9463; fax (512) 727-2453
