The 2009 L’Avi Arrufi is a cuvee of 100% Garnacha Blanca from a vineyard planted in 1920 and aged for 7 months in French oak. Light gold in color, the bouquet sports a touch of oak along with baking spices, jasmine, melon, and mineral. A solid core of fruit is buttressed by a firm acid structure, savory flavors, and a lengthy finish. This classy effort may well evolve for 1-2 years and provide pleasure for another 5-6.
