The 2010 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico is a standout. Hints of pear, apples, and white-fleshed fruit are woven together in this vibrant, beautifully focused wine. All the elements are in the right place. The 2010 Verdicchio is a fabulous effort from Bucci, and one of the very finest values in Italian wine. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2016. The 2009 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico is beautifully layered and polished. The fruit is nicely articulated from start to finish. Simply put this is a jewel of a wine. Even better, it is a great value. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019. Bucci is a reference point winery for the Marche. The Verdicchios in particular are standouts.
