The 2008 Chardonnay displays lightly buttered popcorn, poached pear, apple, and a hint of tropical fruits. The flavors are good and it has decent acid structure but it is in need of greater mid-palate fruit. Cadaretta’s wines are currently made at a custom crush facility from purchased fruit as the winery waits for its recently planted estate vineyards to come on line. There are two white wines among the current releases.

The 2007 Chardonnay is light gold-colored with a nose of toasty oak, baking spices, mineral, baked apple, and a hint of tropical aromas. On the palate it reveals a creamy texture, savory flavors, and an elegant personality.
