The 2014 Vermentino di Gallura Funtanaliras Oro is a shapely and softly contoured white wine. The bouquet shows generous tones of stone and exotic fruit, peach, apple and honey. Background notes of dried sage and crushed granite add subtle complexity. This pretty Sardinian Vermentino would pair with steamed mussels in white wine sauce.
