Cantine Florio does a very nice job with its 2014 Passito di Pantelleria (500-mililiter). In fact, the wine reminds me very much of Donnafugata's Ben Ryé, one of the benchmark dessert wines from the beautiful island of Pantelleria. The bouquet displays dried apricot, honey and roasted almond. Dig deeper and finer aromas of prune, mineral and lemon custard also emerge from the fragrant bouquet.
