The estate’s 2010 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is one of the greatest values in Italian wine. Juicy dark red cherries, licorice, tobacco and smoke burst from the glass in a deep, expressive Montepulciano that is a pure joy to taste. The Montepulciano is another gorgeous wine endowed with tons of pure personality and character. Some slightly rustic notes remain in the wine’s structure, but not enough to meaningfully detract from its fabulous balance. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2015.
