The estate's 2010 Cerasuolo emerges from the glass with layers of rich, textured fruit. Sweet, juicy cherries, plums, spices and flowers are some of the nuances that emerge from the glass in this generous rose. A small percentage of red wine adds body and color. Cataldi Madonna's Cerasuolo is often one of Italy's finest roses, as it is again in 2010. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2014.
Cataldi Madonna is a great source for delicious wines from Abruzzo. I tend to gravitate towards the lower end of the spectrum, where most of the best values lie.
