All of the wines from Fargueirol impressed this time around. The 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape—a blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 3% Mourvèdre and 2% Cinsault—hints at smoke, black cherries and stone fruit on the nose, then is full-bodied and easy-drinking in the mouth, with a deceptively silky-tannic finish that suggests at least a decade of ageability.
