The 2008 Petit Verdot McKinley Springs is opaque purple with an enticing nose of wood smoke, Asian spices, a hint of balsamic, violets, and blackberry. This is followed by a dense wine with layers of spicy fruit, plenty of structure, excellent volume, and several years of aging potential.
