Showing a darkly saturated appearance with an inky dark color, the 2016 Rosso di Montalcino is robust and extra meaty next to its peers. This wine is soft and velvety to the touch with luscious cherry and sweet blackberry. It shows a rich but easygoing approach that would pair with barbecued grilled meats. Cordella is an organic vineyard.

The 2013 Rosso di Montalcino shows very nice fruit intensity and sharpness despite the difficult vintage. Fruit is farmed according to organic principles but the thick clay soils of the Torrenieri area have done their part to iron out any sharp edges or inconsistencies. Don't worry, this ruby-colored Rosso never goes too soft. In fact, there is a serious blast of zesty acidity that keeps you on your toes. The finish is extra bright and crisp.

The 2012 Rosso di Montalcino makes for a terrific showing thanks to the bright and cheerful quality of fruit that oozes from the glass with life and vitality. The wine opens to a dark, well-concentrated appearance and shows pretty aromas of blackberry and ripe raspberry backed by earthy tones and tart fruit.
