Aromas of cherries, sweet berries, spices and forest floor preface the 2020 Volnay Village, a medium to full-bodied, layered and attractively concentrated, vibrant wine that's derived, as usual, from younger vines in Les Santenots (planted in 2002 and 2015).

Deriving, as usual, from young vines in Les Santenots, the 2019 Volnay Village reveals aromas of cherries and sweet berries, complemented by hints of peony and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, sensual and enveloping, its lively core of fruit is framed by melting tannins. This will offer a broad drinking window.

Produced from young vines in Santenots, the 2018 Volnay Village exhibits a rich bouquet of cassis, ripe plums, orange rind and creamy new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and gourmand, with juicy acids and powdery tannins.

As impressive for the silky texture as the black cherry–, blackberry- and floral-tinged flavors, this red is harmonious and charming. Features ample fruit from start to finish, ending vibrant and lengthy. Best from 2021 through 2035.??–BS??Region: France / Burgundy / Volnay Select to Add

A cuvée composed of young vine Santenots and only comparatively young vine Champans, the 2017 Volnay Village is medium-bodied, elegant and open-knit, with good depth at the core, succulent acids and fine tannins, concluding with a respectably long finish.
