The 2020 Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru Les Ecusseaux has also turned out nicely, exhibiting aromas of dark berries, plums and cassis mingled with sweet soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping, it's unusually polished for this appellation, with lively acids and ripe, powdery tannins.
