The 2019 El Titan del Bendito comes from selected plots in the Pago la Jara, one of the most famous vineyards in Toro, that are constant from vintage to vintage. It's a very ripe, powerful and concentrated Tinta de Toro produced in a very modern style, aging the wine in new barriques for 20 months. 9,620 bottles produced.

The tour de force Tinta de Toro 2018 El Titan del Bendito is a full-bodied, full-throttle red with ripe fruit and generous oak produced in an XXL way with plenty of everything but that comes through as balance, deep and complex, even at this very early age. It should be long lived.

The 2017 El Titan del Bendito comes from Pago La Jara and matured in barrel for 20 months. It showcases the character of Toro in a powerful and concentrated vintage, and the ancient vines deliver deep and dark juice that turns into aromatic herbs, wild berries and flowers with abundant spice and toast that will get more integrated with more time in bottle. 9,360 bottles produced. This is certified organic.

A true titan in all senses, the 2016 El Titan del Bendito is anything other than shy. It comes in a large and heavy bottle with a simple, hand-written label that packs a lot of ripe fruit, concentration and tannin, yet it's balanced in an XXL way. This is pure Tinta de Toro from old ungrafted vines that yield 1,000 to 2,000 kilos of grapes per hectare and deliver an unusually aromatic and floral beast that has swallowed the oak after 20 months in French barrels. It has, under all that power and energy, elegance and balance. It's full-bodied and tannic but also surprisingly approachable, with freshness and length. 7,115 bottles were filled in June 2018.

The higher ripeness is noticeable in the 2015 El Titan del Bendito, cropped from a warmer and dry year, when the wine seems to have soaked up more tannin, flavor and aromas from its time in oak. It might require more time in bottle to soften up those tannins and get rid of the slightly lactic aromas found when the wine is poured in the glass.
