The 2009 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Vigneto di Gino is a fabulous wine for the money. Sweet melon, peaches and apricots flow gracefully in this textured, expansive Verdicchio. The wine spends six months on the lees in concrete which gives it considerable richness, while avoiding heaviness. It is a beautifully balanced wine to enjoy over the next few years.
