The 2006 Marche Rosso Vigneto Paradiso is an exotic wine. Sweet medicinal herbs, cherries in liqueur, licorice and leather - all typical of Lacrima - are among the aromas and flavors that are found in this mid-weight red. The 2005 Lacrima di Morro d’Alba Vigna Paradiso is a powerful, earthy wine loaded with dark cherries, herbs, smoke and leather. This rustic, hearty red is best enjoyed over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2013. Fattoria di San Lorenzo makes a number of delicious wines, but those that are the most compelling are the Verdicchios, which run the gamut from simpler styles to the late-release Il San Lorenzo.
