A luscious cherry and raspberry center gives this wine a generous, welcoming profile despite typically taut tannins. Great acidity balances the delicious red fruits that build on the palate and linger in the finish. Best from 2027.

Fresh and crunchy with red fruit, dried herbs, potpourri and moist earth. Medium- to full-bodied with firm tannins, that are ripe and velvety. Dry and a little chewy at the end with attractive fruit coming through. Drink after 2025.

Packaged with a black label and eye-catching lettering in red, the Fontanabianca 2020 Barbaresco Serraboella reveals a very fine, almost dusty personality with wild berry, crushed rose and wet river stone. The wine is beautifully balanced, with dry tannins presented next to delicately sweet berry fruit. The Serraboella shows the careful winemaking practiced at this estate. Only 4,000 bottles were made.

Packaged in its distinctive black label, the Fontanabianca 2019 Barbaresco Serraboella is a subdued, graceful and incredibly silky wine that falls softly over the palate and caresses the senses. There is a lot of beauty here with red fruit aromas, powdered licorice, raspberry tart and plenty of blue flower or lilac. I love the fine texture of the mouthfeel.

Fontanabianca's 2012 Barbaresco Serraboella delivers thick lines and an overtly ripe style with more definition than the 2012 Barbaresco Bordini. This expression shows dark cherry and crème de cassis with accents of spice, licorice and tar. The mouthfeel is lean and compact with moderate acidity on the finish.
