The 1997 Rosso di Montalcino Sanjacopo is a gorgeously rich, ripe, low acid offering made of 80% Sangiovese Grosso and 20% Merlot. It exhibits sweet strawberry jam-like notes intermixed with Asian spices, underbrush, and incense.
