Elegant scents of toasted hazelnuts, white peaches and scorched orange zest emerge on the nose of the 2018 China Terrace Chardonnay. It's round on the medium to full-bodied palate and generous yet with a bright beam of lemony acids that lends structure and lingers enticingly on the finish. The 20% new French oak used in this barrel-fermented and aged wine seem perfectly suited to the fruit, blending almost seamlessly into the whole.

Fleshy without being at all fat, the 2016 China Terrace Chardonnay combines that ample feel on the palate with subtle, classy notes of pencil shavings, pear and vanilla. This fine, elegant Chardonnay, with a silky texture and a long finish, should drink well for another 3-4 years.

The 2015 China Terrace Chardonnay has a pronounced nose of ripe apricots, spiced apples and orange blossoms with hints of cashews, honeyed toast and ginger. Medium bodied, it has a gorgeous satiny texture, plenty of rich, ripe and balanced freshness, finishing long.
