Slightly herbal or floral notes mark the nose of this wine, layered over a core of rich milk chocolate, black cherries and hints of roasted meat or tar. The extra aging has imparted a creamy, supple mouthfeel. One reason we liked this wine so much was its easy accessibility; not all Barolo has to have massive tannins.
