Despite the increased heat at the tail end of the growing season, the 2019 vintage was excellent, especially for the white wines of Friuli Venezia Giulia. This 2019 Collio Ribolla Gialla by Robert Princic's Gradis'Ciutta shows a pale golden color and straightforward aromas of stone fruit, melon, pear and quince. You get great value here. Like the other whites from this estate, an elegant mineral tone (always nice with shellfish) serves to tie those fruity flavors together and give the wine focus.
