Tasted blind at the Burgfest annual tasting, the 2014 Chablis 1er Cru Troesmes by Domaine Isabelle et Denis Pommier, bottled under DIAM 10, offers straightforward lemon peel and chalk-like scents that would benefit from more vigor. The palate is pretty on the entry with peachy, orange zest notes immediately seducing the senses. Perhaps it lacks the tension and race of the example I tasted before, although I can see how this will give plenty of drinking pleasure in the short rather than long term.
