The 2020 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Murgers des Dents de Chien is also very charming in style, bursting with aromas of pear, peach, white flowers and blanched almonds, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively and open-knit palate that concludes with a mouthwatering finish.

The 2019 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Murgers des Dents de Chien has turned out nicely, exhibiting notes of pear, crisp green apple, white flowers and fresh pastry. Medium-bodied, bright and precise, with tangy acids and a saline finish, it will show well out of the gates.

Aromas of orange oil, pear and praline preface the 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Murgers des Dents de Chien, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy but incisive wine with an open-knit core of ripe fruit but a bright spine of acidity. It was bottled under Diam 5.

Aromas of lemon oil, green apples, toasted nuts and oyster shell introduce the 2017 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Murgers des Dents de Chien, a medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy wine with excellent underlying cut and tension, concluding with a chalky finish.

Tasted blind at the annual “Burgfest” tasting in Bouilland. I may have under-estimated the 2013 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Murgers des Dents de Chien from Jean Chartron. It has an earthier bouquet than Olivier Lamy's, a bit of a minty note developing, quite pretty as it opens in the glass. The palate is fresh on the entry with a pleasant twist of bitter lemon, fine salinity, brisk and breezy with a vibrant, energetic, spicy, lemongrass-tinged finish that lingers nicely in the mouth. This is another excellent Saint Aubin. Tasted May 2016.
