This is one of the addresses where in 2005 Riesling was brought in before Gruner Veltliner, and that seems to have been a good thing when it comes to the 2005 Riesling Federspiel Jochinger Berg, which is clear, juicy, refined, and full of lift to a degree exceptional among the Jamek 2005s. Apricot and apricot pit along with bright, tart lingonberry aromas and flavors are mingled with a multi-layered mineral complexity of salt, wet stone, and ore-like essences. The finish brings lip-smacking satisfaction.
