Kimich's 1993s are well-made wines, but they merit slightly lower scores than previous vintages. They are all off-dry, elegant, less concentrated wines than I have seen from Kimich in other top vintages. The three Halbtrocken Kabinetts I tasted were all dry, crisp, tart wines with the Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker possessing more intensity and extract than the other two. I have been a long-time fan of Kimmich's wines. The dry, aromatic, medium-bodied 1991 Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker Riesling Kabinett Halbtrocken offers gorgeous fruit, is zesty and well-focused, with a surprisingly long finish.
