One of the Mosel's new superstars, Heribert Kerpen's soft and flattering 1992s are of high quality. There are three Auslese offerings. The 1992 Bernkasteler Bratenhofchen Riesling Auslese is restrained, with better focus than the Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese, a wonderful core of rich, medium sweet, slate-like, vanillin, cherry fruit, and a long, exuberant finish.
