Heavily oaked, with toasty notes dominating the aromas and plenty of chocolate, coffee and dark toast apparent on the palate as well. There is a streak of bright raspberries lurking beneath the surface, and if they emerge with more time, this rating will prove conservative but there are no guarantees. This is a full-bodied, creamy-textured wine that I would opt to drink over the next few years.——J.C.(3/1/2010)—— 89
