The 2017 Chablis La Sereine is very good, wafting from the glass with aromas of orange rind, crisp Anjou pear, honeysuckle and iodine. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with good concentration, racy acids and a stony finish. This cuvée is the result of a struck selection of juice at the press, and it tends to include more old-vine fruit. In the cellar, it sees a touch more used wood than the wines that preceded it.

The 2015 Chablis la Sereine comes from 20-year-old vines and spent 12 months on the fine lees in stainless steel. It has a tightly wound, smoky bouquet,with just a slight reduction that works well. The palate is well balanced with (again) a touch of reduction on the entry, which seems to creep up and smother the tension as the wine aerates.

The 2014 Chablis la Sereine has a crisp, mineral, gypsum-scented bouquet that unfurls nicely in the glass but remains rather aloof. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, rounded in texture, but still fresh with a hint of clear honey and peach towards the long finish. This is quite stylish, if just missing a little complexity compared to its peers.

Round and fleshy, sporting peach, melon and citrus flavors, this is vibrant and picks up some mineral accents as it lingers on the finish. Drink now through 2018. 300 cases imported.??–BS??Region: France / Burgundy / Chablis Select to Add

The 2013 Chablis La Sereine sees a little oak aging. It has a commendable nose in the context of the vintage with light flint scents combining harmoniously with the citrus fruit. The palate is crisp on the entry with gun flint and smoky notes, although the finish is missing some fruit concentration and lacks real excitement.
