This estate's most expensive cuvee, the 2000 Gisele, is a 100% Merlot aged in 100% new French oak. It offers international aromatics of espresso beans, chocolate, mocha, blackberries, and cherries in addition to such Tuscan characteristics as tar, leather, and tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, pure, rich, and impressive, it will drink well between 2005-2014. A word of warning, two bottles tasted were corked.
