A good choice for a fried flounder or sole, the Tunella 2019 Friuli Colli Orientali Pinot Grigio is a fresh and easy expression of a very popular and versatile white grape. The wine is fragrant and bright with citrus, peach, white melon and yellow rose. Made in stainless steel, this easy-drinking Pinot Grigio reveals a lean texture with nice fruity creaminess on the close. Some 80,000 bottles were made.

The 2017 Friuli Colli Orientali Pinot Grigio offers a frank and genuine approach. This is an all-round white with the bright personality and energy to pair with most appetizers, from fried calamari to vegetable dip. The wine is redolent of citrus, white peach and mature apple, with background notes of honey and sweet almond. Some 80,000 bottles were produced.

The 2014 Friuli Colli Orientali Pinot Grigio is a solid and straightforward white wine. The bouquet is shaped by generous fruit and yellow peach in particular. The wine is fragrant and pure. Background aromas of cinnamon and poached pear add more appeal. The mouthfeel is compact, crisp and immediate.

The 2012 Friuli Colli Orientali Pinot Grigio shows solid lines with fresh notes of citrus, apple and white peach followed by more mature tones of honey, apricot and brioche. The mouthfeel is easy going and fresh with medium heft and balanced acidity that would pair next to pasta with seafood. Drying mineral notes appear on the close. Drink: 2014-2016. The crisp, medium-bodied 2001 Pinot Grigio is a big fruit bomb. This white was delicious, offering loads of fruit, a clean, pure style, good underlying acidity, and no hint of wood ... always a blessing with these fruit-driven, aromatic, dry whites from northeastern Italy.
