The Lamole di Lamole 2017 Chianti Classico is a nicely delineated wine that shows ripe fruit, cherry and blackberry. Thanks to the hot and dry vintage, the intensity of those fruit tones is a bit richer and rounder, but the high elevations and cool breezes of Lamole are a mitigating force. Balance is achieved when you pit territory against vintage. This pizza or pasta-friendly wine offers very good value.

The Lamole di Lamole 2014 Chianti Classico shows a soft and yielding side with a rich and contemporary personality. There is an extra layer of thickness and extraction here that gives the wine its more robust style. Dark fruit and fresh plum are followed by crisp cassis and sour cherry. The finish is drying and moderate in length. The blend is 80% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. Some 106,000 bottles were produced.

The Lamole di Lamole 2013 Chianti Classico is a steady and attractive mid-weight wine. The bouquet is bursting with red fruit intensity and a steady sense of balance. This is a complete expression of Sangiovese with wild berry flavors followed by sweet almond, grilled herb and delicate rose. The tannins are soft and there's a touch of sweetness that underlines the wine's succulent approach.
