The 2012 Chardonnay gives warm apple tart and lemon curd notes with nuances of lightly browned toast, almonds and acacia honey. The 2010 Chardonnay has aromas of ripe apple, peaches and toasty oak with a gentle undercurrent of butterscotch. Light to medium-bodied with a decent amount of toasted nut and apple character in the mouth, it has refreshing acid and a medium to long finish. Drink it now to 2014. The 2008 Chardonnay is a little mute on the nose to begin giving subtle aromas of apple, peach and orange blossom. Medium to high acidity and an elegant style. Creamy. Medium to long finish with good balance. Drink now to 2012. The Weemala label represents their mid-priced range of wines. This superb producer has turned out two fine Chardonnays. The winery's second wine, Logan, has fashioned a big, luscious 1992 Chardonnay with gobs of tropical fruit in the nose. The intense purity, richness, and ripeness of fruit continues in the mouth. Drink this full-bodied, soft, mouthfilling wine over the next year.

I am not about to argue with anyone who claims this winery is making the finest Chardonnays in California. Their secondary label, Logan, has produced a 1990 Chardonnay with wonderful richness, an enthralling, spicy, buttery, mineral, and ripe apple-scented nose, and lovely, deep, nicely extracted flavors.
