Very deep purple-black colored, the 2010 Tannat gives notes of ripe blackberries and black cherries with hints of pepper, tree bark, damp earth and anise. The generously fruited, full-bodied palate provides great structure and balance, with a medium-firm level of grainy tannins, medium-high acid and a long finish. Only 200 cases were made of this first release from vines planted in 2001. Approachable now, it should drink through 2018+. Importer: Epicurean Wines, Seattle, WA; tel. (206) 923-1376
