2009 Confluence is a blend of Chenin Blanc and Viognier aged sur lie in stainless steel with a small portion of the Chenin seeing time in oak. Aromas of apricot, citrus, and tangerine zest lead to a medium-bodied, lively, dry wine with crisp, slightly austere flavors and a medium-long finish. It, too, can be enjoyed over the next 1-2 years. The 2007 Confluence is a blend of 77% Chenin Blanc and 23% Viognier. Medium straw-colored, it reveals an enticing bouquet of mineral, melon, and pit fruits. Dry, rich, and concentrated on the palate, this lively effort will drink well for another 2 years. McKinley Springs produces a wide range of wines from their 2000 acre estate in the vast Horse Heaven Hills AVA but these were the only two submitted for tasting.Tel.
