The Monchiero Carbone 2019 Barbera d'Alba Mon Birone shows an inky dark appearance with bold fruit tones, rich plum, tar and road pavement. The wine emits dark and savory sensations that add to its fruit weight and thick texture. This vintage is especially extracted and dark. Compared to the more floral 2018 edition, this year's Barbera shows a bigger emphasis on ripe fruit, spicy oak and baker's chocolate.

The Monchiero Carbone 2018 Barbera d'Alba Mon Birone is celebrating a big 100th birthday (1918-2018) and boasts special packaging as a result with a proud "100" printed on the top of the capsule. The floral intensity of this red wine is incredible. It boasts a bouquet that recalls wild rose, lavender and pressed violets.
