Recognized by its distinctive gold label, the Monchiero Carbone 2021 Roero Arneis Cecu D'la Biunda is an easy and fresh white wine with mild citrus, apple, honey and lingering tropical tones. The finish is lean and bright, and there is some dusty mineral on the close.

Despite its fancy bottle and gold label, this is the least formal of the white wines released by Monchiero Carbone. The 2019 Roero Arneis Cecu D'la Biunda is a bright and transparent wine with thin layers of citrus, white peach and melon. The wine offers simplicity and freshness, suggesting a match with sushi or a summer salad. This Arneis finishes with pretty touches of flint and salt.

Here is another back vintage from Monchiero Carbone. The 2016 Roero Arneis Cecu D'la Biunda opens to a bright golden color and tart lemony aromas. There are evolved tones at the back with smoky ash, white licorice and candied orange peel. In fact, notes of candied fruit persist throughout.
