With 47 acres of vine, the Taliano family presents a thickly concentrated expression of Nebbiolo with pulpy fruit notes of cassis and blackberry. The 2001 Barbaresco Sori Montaribaldi is even better than the Palazzina, more powerful on the nose with sweet and penetrating notes of licorice and chocolate, firmer and more sustained on the palate but with the tell-tale roundness and solidity of a high quality extraction.
