The 2019 Pinot Noir The Kilmore has vague earth and fruit aromas and a medium-bodied palate with generic fruit, chewy tannins and lots of oak spice.

The 2014 Pinot Noir The Kilmore was matured in new French oak for ten months (44% new). It has pinched blackcurrant and raspberry coulis-scented bouquet that needs more intensity and personality to develop. The palate is medium-bodied with blackberry and raspberry notes on the entry. It lacks some depth and attenuates towards the finish that demonstrates some astringency. It needs to fill out over the next years, evolve more flesh because it feels broody and dour at the moment.

The 2012 Pinot Noir The Kilmore has a straightforward bouquet with brambly red fruit mixed with light sea spray scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, grainy in texture with fleshy raspberry and wild strawberry on the fleshy finish. Fine, if needing a little more persistence.

The 2008 Pinot Noir The Kilmore is a blend of clones sourced from several Yamhill-Carlton vineyards. Dark ruby in color with a slightly muted nose that surrenders floral notes, coffee bean, clove, cinnamon, and black cherry, on the palate it is round and smooth-textured but lacks the fruit intensity and structure that characterizes the better wines of the vintage.
